Add your links in linkedin posts

    February 2, 2026

If you’re writing a post and you want to add an important link - just put it in the post

For a while, everyone was putting the link in the comments to avoid the algorithm suppressing their post content.

But then LinkedIn started hiding that comment with the “most relevant” filter on comments. This actually makes it really hard to find the link and crushes conversions.

For obvious reasons too. If you posted about an event and someone wants to sign up but can’t find the link immediately, they’re probably not going to.

From experience (and from looking at some of our data across millions of posts) adding a link in the post itself makes a less than 5%-10% impact on the post views, but it makes a signifiant impact on conversion rate of people clicking the link and taking action.

    I’d say that’s a reasonable trade off.

As proof, this is the app I’m building which is an AI writing assistant 😂 (works best on desktop!): https://cleve.ai

(I would still remove the embed though that automatically appears if you didn’t attach a picture, and I would add a picture if it’s an event registration or something, that does help with views if it’s a relevant picture)

Edit: (Also editing a post after it’s posted is not a big deal anymore, especially if it’s minor edits)
